What is the Midyear Meeting like?

Alumni Chapter's Midyear Meeting is one of our two annual face-to-face meetings. It's a little like Convention, but more laid back - we work hard, and we play hard. We'll meet up on Friday, August 13th for dinner as Brothers and their families arrive. Saturday morning and early afternoon is dedicated to the business meeting for Brothers. Saturday afternoon is free time to explore Baltimore, MD, before meeting up again for a group dinner. After-dinner activities will be planned as well. After breakfast together on Sunday, Brothers bid each other farewell and start to head home.

What business is addressed at the Midyear Meeting?

Midyear offers the Alumni Association our best opportunity to complete the business that collegiate chapters accomplish in weekly meetings over the course of the academic year. We elect officers, plan service and fundraising, brainstorm and discuss what the next year holds for our Chapter and the National Fraternity, and approve or amend our policies and by-laws.

Who is welcome at Midyear?

Broadly speaking, all Brothers and their families are welcome. We are particularly excited to welcome Brothers who are interested in taking part in business as well as pleasure, but you are welcome to join us simply for a weekend at the beach. Inactive alumni and graduating seniors will find that the Midyear Meeting is the best introduction to our Chapter. It's an event that our Active Brotherhood looks forward to each year.

In addition, we would like to encourage all Brothers to bring their families, including children. We will be planning family-friendly events during the day, during the business meeting, for your guests to attend.
